These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of The Bracket League ("TBL," "we," "us") at thebracketleague.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to participate in paid contests where you live. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Tournaments & entries

• Organizers set the format, entry fee, schedule, deadlines, and payout structure for the brackets they create.
• Entry fees for paid events are held in escrow and paid out to winners automatically based on the published payout structure.
• If a match is not reported by its deadline, the result may be decided automatically as described in the event rules.

Wallet & payments

Your in-app balance is used to enter paid events, receive payouts, and send or receive transfers between users. Transfers and payouts are final and cannot be reversed once completed. You are responsible for any taxes on your winnings.

Refunds

If an event is cancelled before it starts, entry fees are refunded to participants' wallets. Otherwise, entries are generally non-refundable except as required by law or at our discretion.

Acceptable use

• No fraud, collusion, match-fixing, or manipulation of results.
• No harassment, abuse, or unlawful activity.
• No attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service.

Text messaging terms

If you opt in to text messages, you consent to receive tournament invitations and match/deadline reminders from TBL at the mobile number you provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using the Service or of any purchase. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your mobile information.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TBL is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
